Tacoma Dome Celebrates 40 Years with Documentary

Community is invited to share their favorite Tacoma Dome memories

Tacoma Venues & Events (TVE) invites the community to celebrate the Tacoma Dome’s 40th anniversary by sharing their stories for an upcoming documentary.

Since its grand opening on April 21, 1983, the Tacoma Dome has hosted more than 31 million people at thousands of events and has been the gathering place for the community for decades, hosting sporting events, graduations, cultural celebrations, and major concerts. A documentary of this celebrated history to present day is currently in production with local organization Foster’s Creative.

Community members interested in telling their Tacoma Dome story should visit tacomadome.org/documentary to submit their story for a chance to be featured in the upcoming documentary. The documentary will be screened at the Dome in August 2023.
